Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu - a Yolŋu Yolnju Aboriginal Australian blind musician who achieved worldwide global fame when he performed with Sting. He sang stories of his land both in Yolŋu Yolnju languages such as Gaalpu, Gumatj or Djambarrpuynu, a dialect related to Gumatj, and in English. Photographed by Adam Knott adamknottphoto in Adam’s photo studio. Geoffrey allowed Adam to photograph him with his eyes open, showing that he has not pupils. This was the very first time Geoffrey had allowed any photographer to photograph him this way.
